Orvis Cover Dog Photo Contest
This is a photography contest that basically has two parts, so if you feel you might not be "The World's Most Interesting Photographer" (hint, hint), fear not. You'll still have a chance to win something. In the end, it's all for a good cause, so dogs everywhere end up winning!
Though photo entries are being accepted through March 31, 2014, you must enter by February 15, 2014 if you'd like a chance to win one of the following:
*Grand Prize: a one-year supply of Blue Buffalo Dog Food, a deluxe Tempur-Pedic® Dog Bed and a $500 Orvis gift card
*Five Runners-up: Fleecelock Wraparound Beds
*Ten Honorable Mentions: Personalized Collars
These winners will be chosen by a random drawing.
The winning photography entry, chosen after the contest closes, will be featured on a future cover of the Orvis Dog Book catalog, and will receive either a $500.00 or £500 Orvis Gift Card, depending upon winner's country of residence. Check the rules for judging criteria and photo size requirements, etc.
One entry per person or per email address. Open to legal residents of the U.S. and of the UK, who reached the legal age of majority in their locale by the start of the contest (October 31, 2013).
Hero Dog Contest
Is your dog a hero? If so, you can write a 450 word essay for potential publication in Fido Friendly Magazine. A high resolution photo must be included with your entry. Winning entry will also receive a DVD of the movie "Duke."
Open to U.S. and Canadian residents 18 years or older. Void where prohibited by law. Ends January 31, 2014.
Commit to Fit Sweepstakes
100 winners in this sweepstakes will receive a Whistle Activity Monitor (a device that attaches to your dog's collar to monitor his level of activity).
One entry per day, with various opportunities for bonus entries. Bonus entries awarded for performing tasks such as watching a video and answering questions (one bonus entry), sending eCards (up to three bonus entries), and for receiving a quote from Vetrinary Pet Insurance (one bonus entry). Open to legal U.S. residents 18 years or older, who are either employees of a veterinarian hospital or who are pet owners. Ends February 28, 2014.
