Would You Like to Create a Scene with Some Poultry?

Backyard Poultry Magazine and Nite Guard Solar are offering a contest for poultry lovers, landscape lovers, and photographers at any level of expertise. For this contest, you are asked to take a photo of some beautiful landscape, and to include poultry in the shot.

Of course, no animals can be harmed in the making of the scene, and as always, you'd need to keep it tasteful. Outside of this, the limits of your imagination are the primary boundary.

Photos will be judged by votes from the general public, so no other judging criteria is offered. If you have a sense of what is popular (you could potentially think in the realm of nicely done viral photos you may have seen on the Internet, for inspiration), then you would have a good idea of what direction to take with your entry.

* Grand Prize is two Nite Guard Solar Lights. No ARV is stated.

Scenic Poultry Photography Contest

The only criteria stated for which locations are eligible to enter is "void where prohibited." Hence, it may be open to worldwide entries, though it might not. In the end, as per usual, it's your entry, so use your own best judgement.

One entry per contestant. Must be 13 or older to enter, void where prohibited. Deadline for submissions is December 17, 2014, last day to vote is December 21, 2014.

Is your Camping/Hiking/Outdoor Gear Looking Rather Rough? Then You Could Win!

Entry description - 50%

The rules state no technical specifications/requirements for your photos.

Rehab Your Gear Photo Contest

One entry per person. Open to legal U.S. residents, 18 or older as of October 8, 2014, and the age of majority in their place of residence. Ends December 8, 2014.

Orvis Cover Dog Photo Contest


This is a photography contest that basically has two parts, so if you feel you might not be "The World's Most Interesting Photographer" (hint, hint), fear not. You'll still have a chance to win something. In the end, it's all for a good cause, so dogs everywhere end up winning!

Though photo entries are being accepted through March 31, 2014, you must enter by February 15, 2014 if you'd like a chance to win one of the following:

Is your dog a hero? If so, you can write a 450 word essay for potential publication in Fido Friendly Magazine. A high resolution photo must be included with your entry. Winning entry will also receive a DVD of the movie "Duke."

Commit to Fit Sweepstakes

100 winners in this sweepstakes will receive a Whistle Activity Monitor (a device that attaches to your dog's collar to monitor his level of activity).
