A Contest/Sweepstakes for Dog Lovers!

Today we have a combo that is both a contest and sweepstakes in one. For starters, once you enter the contest, you are automatically entered into the sweepstakes. The last day to be entered into both is December 23, 2014. After this date, you will only be entered into the contest.

To enter, you are asked for your idea of your dog's dream dog house. Then, you will need to depict it in some way. The nice thing about this contest is that you are offered multiple means to do so. You may upload a photo, draw a sketch, or simply describe it in your own words.

The sweepstakes has multiple entry periods, each with its own prize. The current entry period (Entry period #1) ends on December 12, 2014. Then, each day after that is another entry period, through December 23. Non-winning entries will roll over into subsequent entry periods.

Contest entries will be judged based upon the following criteria:

Creative content of Submission (40%; score out of 40 points);
Relevance to the theme of the Promotion (40%; score out of 40 points);
Functionality & “dog appeal” (20%; score out of 20 points).

* Contest grand prize is a dream dog house, awarded in the form of a check for $10,000.

* The sweepstakes prize for entry period #1 is one holiday sweater for pet. ARV $70.

Limit of 5 entries into the contest/sweepstakes per person/email address. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C., 18 or older and with a valid email address. Contest ends January 28, 2015.


Winning News

On Friday I received an email to let me know that I am a weekly winner in the "Aveda Invati Sweepstakes." My prize is an Aveda Invati Exfoliating Shampoo, Thickening Conditioner, and Scalp Revitalizer sample set.

This made me happy, as I have been searching for some new hair products to care for my aging hair. Not that I'm getting old, mind you. I don't have Jennifer Aniston beat by much, thank you... Anyways, I'm happy for the chance to try these!

I was also informed, that as a weekly winner, I am now in the drawing to win one of twenty full-sized sets (valued at $116), that they have yet to be giving away. Fingers crossed! Thank you, Aveda!
