Perhaps if you have some holiday time off coming, you may be looking forward to curling up with some good books. It's a fabulous stay-cation, if you're into it with just the right book... and maybe a cat, too. You can escape to a whole new world, without ever having to brave the cold.
I certainly wouldn't complain if the whole winter could just be a stay-cation getaway. Maybe we ought to petition for a winter holiday that lasts about four months, to spend the winter in the warm and welcoming climate of home. Well, maybe that wouldn't be too practical.
