Your Outdoor Animal Videos, Could Win Cash!

Birds & Blooms magazine, along with Country magazine are looking for your videos of outdoor animals. These can be animals like squirrels, birds, and others you would see in the wilds of your backyard, or they can be other types of wildlife, and even farm animals.

The main points are that they be animals you would normally find outdoors, and that your video be touching in some way. It could be heartfelt, humorous, or could cause some other emotion in the viewer.

This contest has two rounds. The first round will be judged by a panel of judges. 12 finalists will then move on to the second round for public voting, to determine the grand prize winner. The expected number of contestants for this contest is only 150, so the odds look quite good.

* Grand prize is $1,000.

* 12 finalists will each receive $100.

(Technically, this means that the grand prize winner actually ends up with $1,100 total.)

Videos will be judged based upon the following criteria:

50% Quality of video
25% Creativity
25% Emotional response caused by content of video

Videos must be no longer than 60 seconds, with a file size no larger than 5 GB (for ease of uploading, recommended size is 50 MB or less). See rules for supported file types and other details.

Outdoor Animal Video Contest

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and Canada (excluding Quebec), 18 or older. Ends August 29, 2014.
