The Adveture Cycling Association is offering amateur videographers and cyclists an opportunity to share their adventures, and possibly win some nice prizes, in the second annual "Bicycle Travel Video Contest on Vimeo."
This contest has three primary categories and one overall category that will compete for prizes, as well as a "People's Choice" award that comes with kudos. The categories are as follows:
Best Long Distance Tour Video - Submissions for this category must be about a long-distance bike tour, of a week or longer, and must be no longer than seven minutes.
Best Short Tour Video - These videos must be about a bike tour of one to six nights, and no longer than three minutes in length.
Best Portrait of a Traveling Cyclist - These submissions must profile a traveling cyclist, and must be no longer than five minutes in length. It is ok to profile yourself.
Bike Travel Spirit Award - This will be awarded to the video that best captures, in the judges opinions, the spirit of bike travel.
The video with the most "likes" on Vimeo will win the "People's Choice" award.
* One winner in each of the first three categories will receive a two-year membership with Adventure Cycling and a $500 gift certificate for the Cyclosource store.
* The winner of the Bike Travel Spirit Award will receive a $300 gift certificate for the Cyclosource store.
