Today we have another area wide internet outage, so sweeps posts will be delayed until things are back in order again.
With the floods, I have found that parts become corroded, and must be replaced. This happens with things going under water, as happened with my Dish. I had to have the tech guy out to replace some corroded parts the other day.
It also happens with water seeping into underground cables and whatnot, as the ground becomes saturated and water makes its way into couplings and so forth. I've had to replace these things in the past, too.
The other thing I've found, is water vapor also corrodes things, as in when the water is flowing under the house, the vapor eventually corrodes any wires on the house, even in enclosed boxes, which must then be replaced.
I presume the internet company is dealing with these same issues. I expect they will get it done as quickly as possible, as they always do.
On another note, as of this morning, I had not yet heard from the sweeps we were supposed to be hosting here at SweepstakingDreams.com, starting today. So, I will be in touch with them once the internet is back up, and will keep you posted. My apologies for any inconvenience.
On a winning note, today's mail brought a pair of sunglasses from "Warsteiner" beer. This was a daily prize in their "Elevate Your Summer" sweeps. Also, my movie count in the M&Ms Summer Movie" sweeps is now up to 8! This will be a great weekend movie marathon for me and the kids, some time when everybody is home for a break (I still call them kids, though they're all grown, now). I am looking forward to it!
