This is a photography contest that basically has two parts, so if you feel you might not be "The World's Most Interesting Photographer" (hint, hint), fear not. You'll still have a chance to win something. In the end, it's all for a good cause, so dogs everywhere end up winning!

Though photo entries are being accepted through March 31, 2014, you must enter by February 15, 2014 if you'd like a chance to win one of the following:

Name the Mermaid


Chicken of the Sea is celebrating "100 Years of Good." For this celebration they want you to name the Chicken of the Sea mermaid.

This is a bit more complex than it appears, so reading the rules is a must. They want you to create an original name, in the English language, of no more than three words (20 characters), that personifies the company image (family-friendly, American brand, etc.).

Nielsen RewardTV


This is by The Nielsen Company, so is largely based upon what TV shows you've watched in the past 24 hours or so. Choose the shows you've watched from their list (which offers quite a good selection), then answer trivia questions about each show (some questions are also about the commercials aired during the show). You are awarded points for each correct answer.

Each day that you play and complete one trivia game, you will be awarded an entry into the $10,000 drawing. Playing two games (two different TV shows) will also get you an entry into the $1,000 "second game' drawing.

These entries are not dependent upon points earned in the trivia game. You will gain entry regardless of how many points you earn. However, points can be used towards rewards such as entry into various other sweepstakes, and more. Surveys and various other tasks also offer more ways to earn points.

I recommend taking a little time to study the rules for this one, as it could be worth your while. A family photo is required to enter, so abiding by the photo guidelines will save your entry from being disqualified.
